Lane End school has been at the end of Ramillies Avenue since about 1970, though the original building was replaced in around 1990 with a brand new one a little nearer the end of the road.
It caters for children aged from 4 to 11 and there are a little over 200 pupils. In its latest Ofsted inspection, it received a Grade 1 Outstanding which is testimony to the high standard of work by all the teachers.
There is an active parent-teacher association and parents are encouraged to join in all aspects of the school day. For more details, use the link to go to the school site.
Ramillies Hall was established in 1884 and is a family-run private school at the end of Ramillies Avenue, opposite Lane End.
It has 3 stages being nursery (6 months to 5 years), middle school (6 to 11 years) and senior school (11 to 16 years).
It has large school grounds including an outdoor swimming pool. For more details, use the link to go to the school site.
