We have held a number of special events in the park, including:

Party in the Park

This is held in the summer for all ages. It has taken off really well. Last year we had face-painting, a bouncy castle, a display from the Shooting Stars Cheerleaders group, penalty shoot-outs and bucket-golf. There were also music acts on stage throughout the day including the Salvation Army and two excellent local bands.

Bulb planting event

This is held in October and to date we have planted in excess of 10,000 bulbs which should turn into a handsome display in the spring.

Carols in the Park

This has been held just before Christmas for the last few years and was originally one of our first events. It seems to have become part of Christmas for all those who attend to sing carols by the oak tree. We serve mince pies, hot coffee and mulled wine.

The Future

Work on the park never stops and there are a number of projects underway for the coming year or so. These include:

Keep an eye on the events page for details of future activities in the park.

We are always open to suggestions and input from the community and are happy to welcome any new members on board. If anyone would like to be part of the team please email either Brian Nash or myself, Joyce Buxton
